Croatia is a true paradise for sailors – and autumn in particular attracts sailing enthusiasts from all over Europe to the Adriatic coast. Summer may be over, but for sailing fans, the season is far from over – because this is when some of Croatia’s most exciting regattas take place. From traditional classics such as the Mrdujska Regatta to challenging offshore races such as the Jabuka Regatta, the Croatian regatta calendar in fall 2025 offers the right event for every type of sailor – whether professional, hobby sailor, or spectator.

Mrdujska Regatta
Date: October 3.-5., 2025
Start: Split
Distance: around 35 km
The oldest regatta in Croatia – and in the entire Mediterranean for 92 years! The Mrdujska Regata is Croatia’s oldest sailing regatta and takes place every year on the first weekend of October, starting in Split, with over 100 boats expected to participate.
The course runs from Split to the turning point at Mrduja Island and back, with two scoring classes – one for the full course and a shorter variant to the island.
Viška Regatta

The 81st Viška Regatta 2025 will take place from October 17 to 19, 2025, starting in Split and sailing via Brač and Hvar to Vis – and back.

Start: Biograd
Distance: around 260 km

Round Long Island Race
Date: October 23.-25., 2025
Start: Zlarin
Distance: around 240 km
The Round Long Island Race is an exclusive offshore regatta around the Croatian island of Dugi Otok and was launched in 2014. The approximately 130 nautical mile course leads from Zlarin via the northern turning point Veli Rat at the tip of Dugi Otok and back to Zlarin – a course that is both navigational and tactically challenging.
The race takes place in one of Europe’s most spectacular sailing regions: the Kornati National Park, passing over 150 islands, rocky reefs, and striking landmarks such as the highest lighthouse in the Adriatic Sea in Veli Rat. Depending on the wind direction, the course is sailed clockwise or counterclockwise – which requires new strategic decisions every year.
Regata Jabuka

Distance: around 204 km
The 22nd Jabuka Regatta will take place from November 7 to 9, 2025, and is a challenging offshore regatta that leads from Vodice to the island of Jabuka and back.
